Frequently Asked Questions

Pole Fitness

What is Pole Fitness?
Pole Fitness is a fun and exciting alternative fitness that incorporates classic dance and modern dance with the use of a pole. It is the perfect exercise for all adult women, regardless of weight, shape, or size.

Is Pole Fitness the same as stripping?
NO! There is absolutely NO nudity in our studio. This does not mean you cannot utilize these techniques elsewhere, but we have a no tolerance policy for nudity within the studio.

I am overweight, can I attend a class?
Absolutely! Our poles have been tested on multiple grown men. The weight limit is 250lbs for the "pole tricks" class.

I am not 18, may I attend a Pole Fitness Class?
No. The only exception we will make is if a legal guardian attends class with you every time. Proof of guardianship will be required upon entering the studio.

I'm pregnant, can I attend a class?

It depends. You must have your doctor's approval to attend class. Your safety comes first. Without the written approval from your doctor, we will not allow you to attend class.

Do I need to be outgoing to attend a class?
No. One of the best aspects of Pole Fitness is the ability to learn how to be more confident and comfortable within our own skin.  We also have a partition in the front of the studio so no onlookers will be able to peer in.

What should I bring to Pole Fitness classes?
An open mind, a water bottle, and a sweat rag. There is a water cooler in the reception area, but we do not provide bottles.

What should I wear to Pole Fitness classes?
We recommend you wear shorts and a tank top, as skin is required to stick to the pole. This is not required for your first class, but it is highly recommended beyond the beginning level. You may also wear ballet slippers, socks, high heels, or no shoes at all.

What types of heels can I wear?
You may wear any kind of heel that has a front lip, an ankle strap attached and NO rhinestones, studs, or embellishments on the top of the shoe (these will scratch up our poles).Embellishments on the heel, side, and underbelly of the shoe are fine. We carry acceptable shoes at our boutique for reference.

What should I NOT wear to Pole Fitness Classes?
Any jewelry on your fingers, hands or wrists, including (but not limited to) rings, watches, and bracelets. Please do not wear any lotions/gels/perfumes as they will prevent you from sticking to the pole. Also, you may not wear any street shoes to class.

Do I need to sign up for Pole Fitness classes?
Yes. While we do take walk-ins, classes hold up to 9 students and are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. You may cancel a class up to 24 hours prior to the class. See "pricing and fees" below for details.

Additional Services

Studio

Can I eat and drink in the studio?
No. Water is allowed in bottles while in the studio, but all other drinks and food must be consumed in the waiting room or outside. This is to prevent damage to our dance floor.

Only if they are potty trained, well-behaved, and will not interrupt class. We are not responsible for your children! Children may sit in the waiting area during classes or inside the studio during free dance. There is a window between the studio and the reception area so you may monitor your children. There is also a television and DVD player in the waiting room to keep your children entertained (please provide your own DVDs). You will be held liable for any damage caused by your children.
